bk|ap combines the healing benefits of fresh, locally grown organic and respectfully wild-crafted medicinal plants and flowers with specialty ingredients sourced from sustainable and fair trade suppliers.
Just as fresh food is best, we believe that plants and flowers offer the most therapeutic value when used fresh as well. To capture their maximum healing power, our plants go from farm to infusion in mere days. Every hand infused oil, glycerite or herbal extract is patiently steeped for at least 30 days to ensure thorough extraction of their beneficial properties.
We use only unrefined, cold pressed, and non-deodorized butters and oils to ensure they maintain all of their beneficial properties. Our hydrosols are 100% botanical extracts steam distilled from fresh plants, and our essential oils are 100% pure, therapeutic grade farm-to-bottle extracts.
Because nature also offers us a spiritual connection, we infuse products with the added energetic benefits of flower or gem essences. These work to restore balance between body and mind, connecting our emotional bodies with our physical health.
It’s what we leave out that is just as important! Knowing that everything we put on our skin quickly absorbs into our bodies, we use only safe, non-toxic ingredients that are checked for safety with the EWG’s Skin Deep database and/or are certified safe by EcoCert.
What you’ll never find in our products are parabens, sulfates, phthalates, propylene glycol, PEG products, formaldehyde, silicones, mineral oils, synthetics, artificial fragrances or GMO’s.
Environmentally-Friendly Packaging
We use 100% recyclable glass packaging for all of our products.
Amber glass provides UV protection for light sensitive ingredients so they last longer. Where light sensitive ingredients aren’t a concern, clear glass allows you to see the beautiful ingredients inside! You’ll never see us using plastic packaging, as we don’t like the potential of chemicals leaching from the containers into our products and onto you. And no extra boxes mean a more environmentally friendly approach.
